Upgrades, downgrades, cancellation, refunds, add-ons

Plan Changes

Upgrades

When you upgrade to a higher-tier plan, the change takes effect immediately. You are charged a prorated amount for the remaining days in your current billing cycle — you only pay for what you use.

Example: You are on a monthly plan billed on the 1st. You upgrade on the 16th — half the cycle is already elapsed. You are charged 50% of the difference between the new and old plan price for that month. On the 1st, your full new plan rate applies.

Downgrades

When you downgrade to a lower-tier plan, the change is scheduled to take effect at the start of your next billing period. You keep all current plan features until the period ends — no partial refund is issued for the remaining days.

Note: If your current usage (connected accounts, team members, API keys) exceeds the limits of your new plan, you will need to reduce usage before the downgrade date to avoid automatic enforcement of the lower limits.

Switching Between Monthly & Annual Billing

You can switch your billing interval at any time from the Subscription page.

When you switch intervals, any active add-ons are automatically converted to the matching billing interval (e.g. monthly add-on prices become annual add-on prices).

You can change your plan and billing interval at the same time:

Pending Changes

Scheduled changes (downgrades and annual-to-monthly switches) appear as pending changes on your Subscription page. You can cancel a pending change at any time before it takes effect — your current plan continues unchanged with no additional charges.

Add-ons During Plan Changes

When changing plans, you can choose what happens to your existing add-ons:

Add-on Removal

Removing an add-on takes effect immediately. A prorated credit for the remaining days in the current billing cycle is automatically applied to your account balance and deducted from your next invoice. If you cancel your base plan, all active add-ons are also canceled and remain accessible until the end of the current period.

If a full plan refund is issued (within the 7-day or 14-day window), add-on charges from the same period are also refunded.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing or by emailing support@codivupload.com. Cancellation is effective at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to all paid features until that date. No charges are made after cancellation unless you re-subscribe.

Subscriptions auto-renew on the renewal date unless canceled beforehand. You will receive an email reminder 7 days before any renewal.

Refund Policy

We want you to be confident using CodivUpload. Refunds are available within the windows below, counted from the date of the charge (initial purchase or renewal).

Monthly subscriptions — 7-day window

Request a full refund within 7 days of your purchase or renewal date, provided you have not substantially used the Service during that period.

After 7 days, no refund is issued. Cancel to prevent the next renewal charge.

Annual subscriptions — 14-day window

Request a full refund within 14 days of your annual purchase date.

After 14 days, no prorated refund is issued. You may cancel and retain access through the end of the annual term.

Free trial to paid conversion

If you are charged when a free trial ends and did not intend to subscribe, contact us within 7 days of the charge for a full refund.

Service disruptions

If the Service experiences a major outage lasting more than 72 consecutive hours due to causes within our control, you may request a prorated credit for the affected period.

To request a refund, email support@codivupload.com with your account email and a brief description. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days via Stripe.

Add-Ons

Certain features (additional profiles, extra team seats, higher API rate limits) may be purchased as add-ons on top of your base plan.

  • Proration on addition: Add-ons are charged immediately at a prorated rate for the remainder of the current billing cycle, then at the full add-on rate on each renewal.
  • Auto-renewal with base plan: Add-ons renew on the same date as your base subscription. If you cancel your base plan, all add-ons are also canceled at the end of the period.
  • Removal: Removing an add-on takes effect immediately — a prorated credit for the remaining days is applied to your next invoice.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (PCI DSS Level 1 compliant). CodivUpload never stores your full card number or CVV — all payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe. Charges appear on your statement as CODIVUPLOAD, CODIVION LLC, CODIVION, or CODIV*. Full invoices are available in your account dashboard.

If a payment fails, Stripe retries up to 3 times over a 7-day grace period. If all retries fail, your account is downgraded to the free tier and you are notified by email. Reactivation is instant once you update your payment method.
